LARKANA: Unknown thieves tried to steal cash from an ATM of the Habib Bank located near Al-Murtaza Tower in the limits of Civil Lines police station in the wee hours of Wednesday, but remained unsuccessful.
The bank’s manager told the media that the thieves broke steel grills and tried other tactics to break into the cash vault but could not withdraw a single rupee. He said that the bank staff came to know about the incident on reaching work in the morning.
He added that CCTV footage had been handed to the police and the matter is being investigated.
However, he did not elaborate on what the bank’s security guard was doing at the time of the incident.
