Haris Sohail out from Test series against South Africa


CAPE TOWN: Batsman Haris Sohail was released from the team on Wednesday due to a knee injury.

The 29-year-old batsman, who was made part of the final squad for the South Africa tour, fell prey to a knee injury before the practice match but remained with the team and participated in the rehabilitation sessions.

However, on Wednesday, the team management decided to release the seasoned batsman in order for him to fully recover from the injury.

Sohail, who started his international career in 2013, has represented Pakistan in 10 Tests, 26 ODIs and 9 T20s.
