ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s government has secured the release of 12 Pakistani prisoners in Bahrain.
The release/pardon was granted by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on account of Bahrain’s National Day.
This achievement is the reflection of the untiring resolve shown by Pakistan’s government to facilitate deserving overseas prisoners waiting to be repatriated to their homeland.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari appreciated the gesture of King Hamad of Bahrain, on behalf of the people of Pakistan and lauded the community welfare attaché for a job well done. He further said that the “government will remain committed to extending such efforts across the globe by helping the Pakistani diaspora that needs our assistance”.
