KARACHI: The much-awaited final match of the 9th PVCA, EBM Inter-School Tournament 2018 took place on Sunday, December 30. The fun-filled event was hosted by Pakistan Veteran Cricket Association (PVCA) in collaboration with Pakistan’s largest biggest biscuit manufacturer, EBM.
Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ali Zaidi graced the event as the chief guest.
The tournament was a big hit with 32 teams including eight government schools participating. The exciting final of the 55-matches tournament was played between the two best teams – Al Fatima Academy and Kamran Public School – at the largest cricket ground of Karachi, National Stadium. Kamran Public School emerged victorious in the end.
While speaking about providing opportunities to the youth, EBM Director Shahzain Munir said, “I believe the youth of Pakistan is extremely talented, as it possesses the potential to bring about some much-needed change and make Pakistan a progressive country. However, they need to be given the right direction and platform in order to showcase their skills.”
He also appreciated the efforts of PVCA, along with which EBM has teamed up for the very first time to promote grass root level cricket in the country.
