Man accused of PML-N leader’s murder passes away in jail

GUJRANWALA: An accused in the murder case of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shamshad Khan passed away in the city’s central jail on Sunday night.

Jail authorities report that Nadeem Asghar had been sick for quite some time in custody. His situation worsened on Sunday and he was shifted to a hospital but he passed away soon.

Asghar, who was a resident of Kasur, was named among the accused of the murder of Shamshad Khan, a member of the provincial assembly associated with the PML-N. He was killed in 2015 in the area of Sadar Kamoke police station.
