19 outlaws held, narcotics and weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 19 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, snatched mobile phones and weapons from them, a police spokesman said.

Following directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Syed Waqar Uddin Syed, Islamabad police have accelerated efforts against those involved in drug peddling activities and other anti-social elements.

He said that Secretariat police arrested accused Muzammil and recovered 1410-gram hashish involved in the supply of narcotics to students of educational institutions.  Police also arrested accused Akbar Khan and recovered 260-gram hashish from him.

Aabpara police arrested accused Adnan Shokat and recovered 10 litres of wine from him. Bhara Kahu police arrested two accused Faisal Khan and    Irfan-Ullah and recovered 255-gram hashish and one 30 bore illicit pistol from their possession.

CIA police arrested accused Danish Masih and recovered 15 wine bottles from him.  Karachi Company police arrested accused Arnest Sultan and recovered 27 litter wine from him.  Golra police arrested accused Shakeel involved in illegal cylinder gas filling.

Tarnol police arrested accused Muhammad Ibrahim and recovered 140-gram hashish from him. Shalimar police arrested five persons involved in immoral activities. Police also arrested accused Shakeel and recovered 170-gram hashish and 08 wine bottles from him.

Sabzi Mandi police arrested Namat-Ullah and recovered snatched mobile and one 30 bore illicit pistols from him.  Noon police arrested accused Inam-Ullah and recovered 230-gram hashish from him.  Khanna police arrested accused Sherwan Masih and recovered 10-litre wine from him. Sihala police recovered one 8mm gun from the possession of arrested accused Umer Shahzad.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Police also arrested 32 professional beggars.

SSP Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this performance and directed for effective policing measures in the city.
