‘Apna Ghar’ project to materialise dreams of homeless: CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that without caring about the excess of problems or lack of necessary recourses, the government is determined to serve masses and no hindrance can weaken its passion of public service.

The chief minister said that the Apna Ghar Housing project will materialise the dreams of people who are deprived of their own residences.

Speaking to Punjab Minister for Housing and Public Health Engineering Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed at his office, Buzdar said that Punjab Inter-Department Committee is active for the completion of the Apna Ghar Project. He added that the committee will ensure identification of suitable places for construction of houses as well as the provision of soft loans.

The chief minister also said that more areas will be included in the project after initial identification of three cities in the first phase.

Meanwhile, an authority is being established for the provision of clean drinking water to every citizen and identification of suitable places has also been completed for the establishment of filtration plants, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed said the Pakistan Terheek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will fulfill its promise of the Apna Ghar project.

The overall political situation of the country, as well as different matters of mutual interest, also came under discussion during the meeting.
