PESHAWAR: A youth committed suicide after killing five of his family members, including his father over a domestic dispute here on Wednesday, police said.
A youth identified as 24-year-old Abdullah, hailing from Tehkal area of Peshawar, exchanged hot words with his father over a domestic issue. The verbal clash turned violent after which the accused opened fire at his father, Jan Muhammad, killing him on the spot.
The youth also gunned down his uncle Faqir Muhammad and three brothers when they tried to intervene.
Soon after the killing spree, Abdullah committed suicide with the same weapon.
The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for postmortem. The police, after registering a case into the incident, have started an investigation.
