CM reiterates resolve to provide masses with better healthcare

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday reiterated his commitment to providing the people of the province with better healthcare facilities and said the health sector in Punjab would be made exemplary in collaboration with the doctors’ community.

Speaking to a delegation of doctors at his office, the chief minister said they were working to provide the best treatment to patients and the government would go to every extent in this regard. “Provision of best treatment facilities to the patients is the top priority of the government and different steps are being taken to revamp hospitals because serving ailing humanity is no less than a virtue.”

He said that there was no dearth of resources for public welfare and the people affiliated to the health sector would have to play their pivotal role for the betterment of the masses.

“Doctors are associated with a noble profession and they have to act as the messiahs of the ailing humanity.”

Medical institutions, the chief minister added, will have to be improved.

Among those who called upon the chief minister were Dr Majeedullah, Dr Khalilur Rehman, Dr Ibrar Hussain, Dr Rashid Qureshi, Dr Saadullah, Dr Rohul Amin and others.
