A Twitter spat broke out between Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Ahsan Iqbal following their press conferences in wake of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s conviction.
As per the details, the war of words began on Twitter after Iqbal rubbished Fawad Chaudhry’s claim that he was General Zialul Haq’s “mentee”.
Iqbal clarified that he had got admission in UET, Lahore in 1976 when Gen Zia was not the ruler.
Liar Information Minister: For your info when I got admission in UET, Lahore in 1976, Gen Zia was not the ruler and I was admitted in Mechanical Engineering on open merit seat. Your lies are known to whole nation. Pity the government whose Info Minister is a pathological liar.
