KARACHI: Customs officials on Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle drugs worth millions to Saudi Arabia by arresting a drug pusher at Jinnah International Airport, according to Airport Security Forces (ASF).

During baggage search, 970-gram amphetamine worth Rs10 million in the international market was recovered from a passenger leaving for Saudi Arabia through a private airline flight.

The ASF confiscated the drugs and arrested the accused identified as Ali Murad.

The detainee and recovered narcotics were later handed over to Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF) for further investigation.
