LAHORE: Another under trial prisoner of the National Accountancy Bureau (NAB) died at Lahore’s Camp Jail on Monday.
According to the details, incarcerated Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Deputy Director Muhammad Saleem passed away in custody.
The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
It merits a mention here that this is the second death of a NAB prisoner within the past four days as corruption accused CEO of Sargodha University’s Lahore Campus died of a “cardiac arrest” on Friday.
Professor Mian Javed was also being held at Camp Jail where he suffered a heart attack and died.
He was arrested by NAB earlier in October along with former Sargodha University vice-chancellor Dr Mohammad Akram Chaudhry and four other university officials.
The professor was later shifted to camp jail on judicial remand where he breathed his last.
