Over 60 companies set up stalls at SSUET Job Fair

KARACHI: The Guidance Centre of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) organised a job fair at the campus in which more than 60 renowned companies of the town participated and set up their stalls to facilitate students in terms of sharing information and preparing them for availing the job opportunities.

A large number of students including Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali, Convenor Guidance Centre Siraj Khilji and others attended the event.

Speaking on the auspicious occasion, Jawaid Anwar, Chancellor Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology said, “The purpose of holding this job fair at the campus was to allow students to meet potential employers in an informal setting. The job Fair gives job seekers the opportunity to learn more about potential employers and the opportunities available. The focus was on sharing information between organizations and job seekers. It is a way to explore career opportunities within a variety of companies at one location.”

Chancellor Jawaid Anwar pointed out that careers fairs are useful for a range of students and give large companies much needed time to advertise themselves and recruit new people.

Employers meet, inform and interview hundreds of potential applicants, while job seekers get the chance to talk up their skills and make important connections with potential employers, mentors and peers.
