LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday lauded Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa for his efforts to end Pakistan’s diplomatic isolation.

Elahi was speaking to reporters as he claimed that the army chief’s “silent diplomacy” is to be credited for Pakistan’s friendly relations with other countries.

He reiterated that Gen Bajwa’s visits abroad and bilateral meetings have improved Pakistan’s relations, harbouring a bond built upon mutual trust with the international community.

He asserted that this development had cornered India which acted defensively at the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor.

Moreover, he said that the chief’s efforts in forging a peace agreement with Afghanistan were being acclaimed around the World, and his services for national security shall be remembered in times to come.
