LAHORE: An accountability court (AC) on Thursday extended the judicial remand of former Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general Ahad Cheema in the LDA City scam case.

The remand was extended by another 13 days with directions to produce the accused again on January 2, 2019.

AC Judge Muhammad Azam conducted the case proceedings whereas the accused was also present in the court.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is probing complaints of irregularities in the LDA City project. Ahad Cheema and the housing scheme’s development partners are accused of selling more plots than available with the housing authority.
