‘Two-year-old video’ – Foresighted Afridi addressed MML’s fears over a year before MML’s creation

ISLAMABAD – Humbly denying that he is a time traveler, instead insisting that he’s ‘merely foresighted’, Federal Interior Minister Shehryar Afridi said he successfully addressed the concerns of the Milli Muslim League (MML) long before the party even came into being.

Talking exclusively to The Dependent about a leaked video that showed him vowing support for Hafiz Saeed and the MML, Afridi reiterated that the video was over two years ago.

“Considering that the MML was created only a year ago, this shows just how foresighted I actually am,” he said.

“Yes, one can understand how such unparalleled levels of vision can be mistaken for an ability to travel through time, but I am merely foresighted.”

The video in question shows the MML leaders protesting the US ban on the party, which was put in place in April this year, and an Islamabad High Court judgement that also came earlier this year.

“If you put two and two together, it was obvious two years ago that this would happen, and that’s how we ended up discussing the matter as shown in the video,” Afridi told The Dependent.

“And if you put two and two together, it is also obvious what is going to happen over the next five years. We can make another video right now if you want,” the federal interior minister generously offered.
