LARKANA: Sindh Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chief Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Monday said that the federal government was pursuing the dictatorial policy of removing opponents.
“Those who are issuing threats of sending PPP leaders to jails should now prepare to go home. We sent dictator Pervaiz Musharraf home and now we will send his B team to their homes,” he said while addressing a party activists’ meeting of Sukkur and Larkana Division in Garhi Khuda Khuda to review arrangements made in connection with the 11th martyrdom commemoration of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to be observed on December 27.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Nafisa Shah, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, provincial minister Imtiaz Shaikh, Bari Pitafi and Senator Aajiz Dhamrah attended the meeting. The meeting decided to expose government policies that are an enemy of the people December 27.
Khuhro also said that those who were saying that PPP leaders will now go to jails would be told: “who is going where”. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) itself had been brought to power after a deal and nobody would seek a deal or National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) from it.
He further accused the PTI government of ending provincial rights and establishing federalism in the country, adding that federalism or a kingdom would not be allowed in Pakistan.
Khuhro said that PTI wanted to have 58-2B that had been struck off from the constitution which was why it was angry over 18th Amendment and provincial autonomy, as PTI was defiant of the Constitution.
He announced that Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PPP leaders from all four provinces would address a big public gathering on December 27, adding that arrangements had been made for the workers while 52 walk-through gates would be installed and four parking zones would also be established in Garhi Khud Bux.
“Security will be monitored through CCTV cameras,” he concluded.
