ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday condemned the killing of six security officials in a gun attack in Balochistan’s Kech district.
In a press statement, the prime minister prayed for the martyred personnel and offered his sympathies for the bereaved families. He also prayed for early recovery of the security officials wounded in the attack.
PM Khan said enemies’ cowardly attacks cannot dampen the spirit and courage of security personnel, adding that terrorist elements will be chased till they are completely wiped out.
Six security officials were martyred while 14 others were wounded when armed men opened fire at their convoy in Kech district.
According to the provincial information minister Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, six personnel of the Frontier Corps in charge of security in the region were martyred in heavy firing along a mountainous stretch of road in the district. Fourteen others were wounded, he added.
