LAHORE: To curb sectarianism, hate speech and form an atmosphere of brotherhood in the province, Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department has decided to provide official Friday sermons to all mosques, reported an Urdu newspaper.
The decision is being taken to stop all anti-sect speeches.
According to reports, the department has issued orders to all relevant officers to provide officially issued sermons to mosques of all religious schools of thoughts.
Strict action will be taken against all the violators, the report mentioned, adding the official approval for this policy will soon be sought from Punjab cabinet.
