BAHAWALPUR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday foiled a major terror bid by arresting five terrorists and recovering suicide jackets, hand grenades as well as arms from their possession.
CTD spokesperson said that the department conducted an operation in Bahawalpur city on an intelligence tip-off regarding presence of terrorists.
“During the operation, five terrorists were apprehended with suicide jackets, hand grenades and other weapons.”
All the arms and explosives were confiscated, the spokesperson said.
The held terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
