Rawalpindi ring road project to be completed within 3 years

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) has appointed Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) as the executing agency for Rawalpindi ring road and decided to obtain a loan to complete this project within 3 years from China.

According to media reports, the task for working out PC-1 in respect of the three projects of this plan, including management units and land acquisition has been assigned to RDA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs47 billion and is likely to be increased. The revisited cost will be determined on this count.

The Ring Road project will commence from Banth, G.T road and end at Thalian interchange.

The track’s length will be 38.8 km and it will be connected with Tarnol through a 12 km link connected with Rawat through another 12 km link.
