ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday assured National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal of his government’s full cooperation in the bureau’s ongoing crackdown on ‘corrupt elements’.

Reportedly, both of them agreed that the action should continue till the complete eradication of corruption from the society, during a meeting at the PM House in Islamabad.

The meeting took place hours after former premier Nawaz Sharif’s scathing criticism at the national anti-corruption watchdog during an informal interaction with the media at the Supreme Court (SC).

Commenting on the PTI government’s move to amend the accountability laws, the PML-N supremo sarcastically said that it should remain the same so others can also face the music.

“NAB should also carry out an audit of PM Khan’s helicopter use and include his family into accountability process,” he added.
