‘Clean and green Pakistan’ drive to be launched in Rawalpindi educational institutions


RAWALPINDI: The provincial School Education Department (SED) has decided to launch a drive, ‘Clean and green Pakistan’, in all educational institutions of Rawalpindi under the prime minister’s (PM) vision of countering global warming and smog issues.

Under this campaign, work regarding the anti-dengue drive, cleanliness and planting saplings will be done.

On SED’s directives, the district education CEO has nominated an education officer as the focal person. Special teams have been constituted for monitoring schools in order to make this campaign successful and the assistance of teachers and students will also be taken.

More than 400 higher and higher secondary schools have been made part of this campaign.

A formal notification has also been issued to the schools, saying that no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
