Army asks foreign journos to project Pakistan’s positive image

RAWALPINDI: A group of Pakistan-based foreign media journalists met with Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Tuesday.

The ISPR DG briefed them about the security situation and ongoing stability operations. Matters related to Pakistan-Afghan border and situation along the Line of Control (LoC) were also discussed. The ISPR DG said that the security situation of Pakistan has largely improved through successful clearance operations and the country is heading towards stability.

He said that after having peace restored, Pakistan wishes to see peace beyond borders, especially in Afghanistan. He said that the international community sees Pakistan through their reporters who are based in Pakistan and underlined that he expected them to highlight improving peace and stability in Pakistan, which offers economic opportunities for foreign investors.

He also said that the media has a very important role to project the positive image of Pakistan.
