A 14-year-old housemaid was allegedly tortured and then dumped near a bus stop in Sargodha, a local media house reported.
The victim, identified as Tanzeela was sent to work at Saeed Niazi’s home a year ago, who is a member of the district council. It was further reported that she was not allowed to have any kind of contact with her family.
According to the victim’s mother, Niazi along with his wife, identified as Uzma, tortured Tanzeela and after her health worsened; they threw her off at a nearby bus stop.
Moreover, the victim claims that the family subjected her to brutal torture a few days ago by being beaten with sticks and pipes.
“The alleged victim went on to say that the employer’s family would pour boiling hot water on her and also burn her with a hot iron,” the local media report stated.
Following this, a case has been registered against the accused as the authorities took notice of the incident.
