Female nurses of Narowal District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital lodged a protest against mistreatment, exploitation and being harassment by the senior staff.
In a video, the nurses can be seen protesting the mistreatment by hospital administration which included filming them secretly.
“The CO of the hospital has ordered the senior staff including Madam Shazia, Munawwar Saeed, Madam Surraiya and Driver Sagheer Khan to secretly film us and send him the videos,” the nurses said, demanding the suspension of these officials immediately.
The nurses further said that the staff tortured them, beat them and threw out their belongings from the hostel. “They asked the migrated students to move out immediately although we told them that it is evening time and we cannot go to our areas at this time,” they said, adding still they were tortured.
“If we raise our voices against any illegal steps in our hostels, we are threatened with migration or termination,” they further said.
The nurses requested Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid to take notice of the issue on emergency grounds.
