LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday assured the nation that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had successfully achieved the targets of national development and prosperity, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team deserved accolades for their efforts to speedily implement the 100-day agenda.

“The 100 days’ plan of the government is a roadmap of vibrant change as well as a unique step by the premier, which will benefit the entire nation,” he said in a statement issued here.

A day earlier, PM Khan had put a greater focus on his government’s future plans rather than sharing the details of the tasks already accomplished, at a special event held to review his first 100 days in power.

This had led to both the ruling party and PM Khan being criticised at the hands of opposition leaders, who claimed the premier “lacked” vision.

“The foundation of a new Pakistan has been laid under the leadership of PM Khan,” CM Buzdar said on Friday, adding that prime minister’s agenda was a vibrant plan of national development and the conscious people were fully satisfied with the performance of the government.

He further said that the government had achieved numerous successes on internal and external fronts in a short period of time and overcoming the payment crisis was PTI’s yet another achievement.

“The PTI government has devised policies for the welfare of the masses and it is moving in the right direction. It has efficiently worked in its first 100 days while no other government in the past was able to introduce such a wonderful programme.”

It is for the first time in the history of the country that policies have been devised keeping in view the interests of the people and the state, the Punjab chief minister said, adding that PM Khan’s team was sincerely working to implement the reforms agenda.

“Punjab is burning the midnight oil in this regard,” CM Buzdar said and reiterated that the province would lead the reforms envisioned by the prime minister.
