ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) here on Wednesday, while hearing the case pertaining Barrister Fahad Malik’s murder, testified two witnesses and summoned for more prosecution witnesses on the next date of hearing.

The court, in its previous hearings, had already testified five witnesses, as well as three indicted namely Arshad Mehmood, Nouman Khokhar and Raja Hashim.

Earlier, the ATC judge had removed Section 7 of the Anti Terrorism Act (ATA) and transferred the case to lower courts. However, the victims’ brother Jawad Sohrab had challenged the decision in Islamabad High Court (IHC) which set aside ATC’s judgment for dropping terrorism clauses, restored Section 7 and transferred the case back to the ATC.

The Shalimar police had booked accused Arshad Mehmood, Nouman Khokhar and at least eight others after Barrister Fahad Malik was gunned down near Shalimar Police Station in F-10/3 in the early hours of August 15, 2016.

The court adjourned the hearing for a day.
