ISLAMABAD: A District and Sessions judge on Wednesday issued arrest warrants for TV anchor Dr Shahid Masood in the case pertaining to him snatching a journalist’s cell phone.
According to details, a first information report (FIR) was registered against Dr Shahid Masood in Ramna Police Station at the complaint of the said journalist where he contended that Masood snatched his mobile and deleted all the data of his coverage while he was performing duties at Islamabad High Court (IHC) earlier in November.
The petitioner had also pleaded that Shahid Masood used derogatory language and warned him of dire consequences in addition to snatching his cell phone.
The court issued arrest warrants for the TV anchor while rejecting the pre-arrest bail request filed by his counsel.
