A stage actor, earlier mistaken as a cop, has come forward to explain that he has nothing to do with Punjab police.
According to the details, Shahzad had donned the police uniform to dance with his fellow actor on a Bollywood hit. The video had gone viral over the internet and led to reports claiming that the policeman has been “suspended”.
“I am not a police officer, and we were just rehearsing,” the stage artist told a private media outlet.
PAKPATTAN COP SUSPENDED:
Meanwhile, a cop was actually suspended for posting a video in which he can be seen depicting a Bollywood villain while delivering a dialogue from a movie.
“Do waqt ki roti kamata hoon, panch waqt ki namaaz padhta hoon … isse zyada meri zaroorat nahi, aur mujhe khareedne ki teri aukaadt nahi,” Inspector Arshad was seen saying in a video while dubbing on Anil Kapoor’s dialogue from 2013 film Shootout at Wadala.
An inquiry has been launched against the Kalyana Station House Officer (SHO) after Pakpattan District Police Officer (DPO) Maria Mehmood took notice of the video.
Speaking to a private news channel, Arshad said he was unaware of the fact that his video was uploaded on the social media. “The video was shared on social media by my nephew,” the suspended officer said in his explanation.
