ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew, Hassaan Niazi, has rejected the media reports that he slapped an FIA man in Islamabad court and asked the media to take his side of the story too.

Niazi took to the Twitter to give his point of view stating, “The story on media is not true. Just because I’m related to prime minister doesn’t mean I get bashed without listening to my side of the story. I did have a verbal exchange with the FIA official. I was upset because he was continuously asking for bribe till my client gave in.”

Niazi further wrote: “My 90% of the cases are pro-bono. Just because u hate PM IK doesn’t mean u play a fabricated story. I request every1 to take my version. I’m doing 20 child abuse n 15 minority cases currently. I was upset because FIA official ‘offered bail’ to my client if he opted 4 lawyers he recommended.”

On Tuesday it was reported that Niazi was appointed as a counsel by the owner of a website, which broadcast PPP leader Faisal Raza Abidi’s interview, to represent them in the court. However, his appointee replaced him with another counsel infuriating Niazi, who then engaged in a verbal scuffle with him.

Meanwhile, FIA’s counsel Mumtaz Ali was proceeding towards the court when the premier’s nephew charged towards him and slapped him multiple times while saying “someone represented my client in the court and you didn’t even stop him.”
