CTD arrests two ‘terrorists’ from Bahawalpur


BAHAWALPUR: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted an operation in Bahawalpur on Tuesday and arrested three terrorists, local media reported. The raid was conducted on an intelligence report.

CTD spokesperson said that “the arrested terrorists belonged to a banned outfit and were identified as Nasir Mahmood and Aftab Ahmad.”

The CTD personnel also recovered detonators and other explosive material from their possession.

The arrested terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation. The detained terrorists were reportedly planning to target sensitive places in Bahawalpur.
