After Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar’s announcement that the Supreme Court would follow up its dam fund campaign with a population control campaign, a brand of condoms sold in Pakistan has come forward to officially support the CJP’s announcement.
Rigolide condoms, which are sold in Pakistan mostly on an e-commerce basis, in a Facebook post on their company’s page extended their full support to the chief justice on his initiative.
CJP Nisar on Saturday had revealed that the next campaign the Supreme Court would support would be centred around population control.
Speaking to a private news channel following a fundraising event in Birmingham for the construction of dams here, Justice Nisar said that he is planning to spearhead a drive spreading awareness about population control.
The initiative was met with mixed responses, with a number of people questioning the timing given how slowly the SC’s current campaign to collect funds for the Diamer and Bhasha dams is going. However, if Rigolide’s response is any indication, condom companies are more than thrilled at the prospect of the business that would come there way if the SC was to launch such a campaign.
“RIGOLIDE appreciates & fully supports the initiative taken by CJP & SC regarding Population Control” read the adulatory Facebook post that the company made.

The post was advertised by the company and directed towards social media users, and gained significant traction on Facebook.
