LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday inaugurated Chief Minister’s Complaints Centre at his office to address the grievances of the citizens.

Addressing a ceremony held in this connection, CM Buzdar said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had fulfilled yet another promise as the complaints centre had been established in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“Initially, complaints pertaining to health, education, police and the deputy commissioner’s office can be registered by calling at the specified numbers whereas the scope of this centre will be extended to the entire province later,” he said.

The chief minister maintained that providing immediate relief to the citizens was the government’s prime responsibility and with the launch of this facility, the complaints of the people at district, tehsil and village levels would be addressed on a priority basis.

“I have also implemented an open-door policy in the offices and the chit-system has been scrapped. I shall personally monitor this [complaints] centre and it will be evolved into an effective organ to facilitate the public,” he added.

CM Buzdar said that feedback of media would also be collected and each complaint would be addressed within three days to two weeks’ time.

“Complaints registered through this system will be responded to on an immediate basis.”
