SUKKUR: Former opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will not be a part of any move against the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government as it wants the parliament to succeed.

While addressing the PPP workers in Sukkur, the senior party leader termed the results of General Elections 2018  as “suspects”, adding that “despite our reservations on the election result, we joined the parliament to ensure that democracy is not derailed in the country”.

Talking about the 100-day performance of the current government, he said that “it is negligible” and a standing committee has yet to be created.

“We do not have a clue regarding for whom will the five million homes be,” he added.

Shah reiterated that the PPP has always taken a stand for democracy and cooperated in the name of democracy. “Only parliament makes constitution and laws,” he concluded.
