LAHORE: Dr Farah Masood of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) has assumed the charge of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) managing director (MD).
The posting had been notified by the Punjab government on Friday on the orders of Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
After assuming charge of the foundation’s MD on Tuesday, Dr Farah, during her maiden meeting, was briefed on its working and expansion plans.
“The newly appointed MD is the most suitable person for the slot as she has already served on key government positions and has a vast experience,” All Pakistan Private School Association (APPSA) president said while speaking to Pakistan Today.
“We are hopeful that she will understand the challenges that small private school partners are facing.”
A senior civil servant from the 26th Common Training Program of PAS, Dr Farah Masood, has also served as the Labour and Human Resource Department secretary, Sahiwal commissioner and MD of both Punjab Small Industries Corporation as well as Punjab Health Foundation.
