LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Tuesday termed the federal government’s decision of opening the Kartarpur Corridor as “historic”.
All credit goes to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, he said and added that such a significant announcement on the birth anniversary Baba Guru Nanak was a good omen for both Pakistan and India.
“This step will strengthen the peace efforts between the two countries,” Buzdar remarked.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is an advocate of friendly ties with neighbouring countries, the chief minister said.
He added that the Punjab government had always provided all possible facilities to the Sikh community.
