Ranveer Singh says he married the ‘most beautiful woman in the world’

Ranveer Singh has never shied away from declaring his love and admiration for Deepika Padukone. The actor has been pretty vocal about it though the two kept their relationship private and away from the eyes of the media.

At a grand dinner hosted by his sister, Ritika Bhavnani, to celebrate the nuptials, Ranveer, was back in his element and his outrageous outfit was proof of that. At the event, he declared his love for Deepika in a speech and called her the most beautiful woman in the world.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I married the most beautiful woman in the world,” Ranveer said as he took the stage. “Guys, we are really happy to have you all together here, tonight. It is going to be an epic night. There are so many of you, all our lovers and friends. We are here to celebrate what is going to be an epic future… you and me.”

Videos of the two dancing to Bollywood tunes were also circulated on social media and it appeared that the couple was having a great time.

After sporting a series of traditional dresses, the dinner saw both Ranveer and Deepika don modern outfits. Speaking about his wife’s Sabyasachi outfit in his speech, Ranveer thanked her for obliging him by wearing a dress similar to the kind Mexican artist Frida Kahlo often wore.

As per Ranveer, Deepika looked like “Frida Kahlo on acid” in her floral lengha choli, midnight blue smokey eye and braided hairdo, adorned with flowers.

Meanwhile, Ranveer sported a Manish Arora outfit with long, loose silk jacket with intricate handcrafted embellishments added with the designer’s signature heart motifs and ostentatious pink.

The outfit was paired with pink sunglasses, kohl-lined eyes and heavy jewellery which included an assortment of rings with emeralds, rubies and diamonds.

Padukone and Singh tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on November 14 at Italy’s picturesque Lake Como. Their Italian wedding was followed by a reception in Deepika’s hometown, Bengaluru. The couple will host two more receptions: one on November 28 and one on December 1.
