ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sought a reply from the federation in a post-arrest bail plea of Faisal Raza Abidi in a case pertaining to his disputed remarks against the judges of apex court during an interview to a web TV.
A divisional bench of IHC comprising Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb conducted the hearing on a petition filed by the former senator.
During the course of the proceedings, petitioner’s counsel Advocate Syed Zaheer Hassan contended before the bench that his client needed emergency medical treatment as white cells of blood were found in his urine.
He requested the court to order the jail officials to present his client’s medical test report and X-Ray which was conducted by Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
Hassan prayed the court to grant post-arrest bail to the former senator on the basis of medical grounds in light of his health condition.
After hearing the arguments, the bench served notices to the federation to submit a reply in the above matter.
