BAP forms committee to resolve internal conflicts

Following threats of Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo reported resignation over his differences with Chief Minister Mir Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, senior leaders of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) in the province have begun efforts to resolve issues within the party.

According to a report in the local media, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, CM Alyani, Speaker Bizenjo and other leaders of the party, in a meeting on Sunday, decided to form a committee to look into the matter.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Bizenjo shared that the committee to resolve issues within the party would be headed by Senator Sanjrani.

“We are tribal people and our relationship is based on mutual respect,” he remarked.

awamiAccording to sources, Sanjrani has assured Bizenjo that his reservations will be resolved through negotiations and that there will not resignation. He asserted that the BAP leaders were committed to develop the province of Balochistan and that the speaker would continue to play his role.

CM Alyani also placated the upset speaker and assured him that this reservations will be removed.

Bizenjo, who is former chief minister of the province reportedly complained he was being left out of the decision-making process in the province because of which he decided to resign from his position.

His statement stirred a political controversy in the province, forcing the BAP’s senior leadership to discuss the issue.
