ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif, who is currently in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) custody for alleged corruption, on Sunday was shifted to his residence in Islamabad after undergoing a medical checkup in at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
Shehbaz’s residence was also declared as a sub-jail and his brother and former premier Nawaz Sharif was also granted permission to visit him.
The PML-N president also met his wife Tehmina Durrani who expressed concerns over her husband’s health.
Earlier at PIMS, lab work, including his CT Scan, was done. According to reports, a four-member medical board will make recommendations after his reports are received. Previously, the medical reports had indicated recurrence of Shehbaz’s cancer. According to the report, signs of Chromogranin A (CgA) and his adenoid cystic carcinoma node level were found to be at 688 — the normal level of which is considered to be at 100.
