Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s blood report shows signs of cancer recurrence, according to media reports.
Shehbaz’s medical examination was conducted after he complained of throat ache, a news report said.
According to the report, Shehbaz’s report indicates signs of Chromogranin A (CgA) and his adenoid cystic carcinoma node level was found to be at 688 — the normal level of which is considered to be at 100.
In light of the report, doctors have recommended that Shehbaz’s CT Scan be conducted immediately, the report claimed.
On Thursday, Shehbaz informed an accountability court in Lahore that he has blood cancer and is not being permitted a medical checkup by officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), terming it “blackmail”.
Shehbaz Sharif, who is also the opposition leader in the National Assembly, has been in NAB’s custody since October 5 in connection with the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case.
