KARACHI: The attack on the Chinese consulate was resisted by privately deployed policemen of the guard force of Security & Management & Services (SMS) on Friday, aiding the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) in defeating the terrorists.
The guard force of SMS including 2 Security guards Shaukat and Kamran as well as a Lady Searcher Ruby Razzaq played a significant role in managing the emergency and proactively locked 12 people, including 10 visa applicants and two others inside the washroom and remained in the visa section themselves.
Meanwhile, LEAs reached the premises and surrounding the area. Three terrorists were killed in a crossfire during the operation.
The management of SMS remained in constant touch with both the Chinese officials and the guard force until the situation was clear.
All Chinese consulate staff are safe and no casualty was reported within the consulate.
