ISLAMABAD: Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Thursday presented its Terms of Reference (TORs) during a session of the parliamentary committee formed to probe the alleged rigging in the 2018 General Elections.
The TORs were presented to the government in written form.
The document was presented by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and included points raised by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah as well as Mir Hasil Bizenjo of the National Party.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanaullah said the opposition had presented its TORs while the government had asked for time to present its own.
Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said the government considered the elections to be fair and transparent, which was why it had no objections in forming a committee.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had accepted the opposition’s demands earlier as well, he added.
