ISLAMABAD: Balochistan’s Sibi and its adjoining areas were jolted by a minor earthquake on Thursday morning.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, an earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale and with a depth of 10 kilometres hit the area at 3:28 am. The epicentre was 56km north of Sibi.
This was preceded by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Southern Iran at 2:11 am. There were no casualties, human or otherwise, reported in the quake.
