ISLAMABAD: A 20-member delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Central Secretary General Arshad Dad on Tuesday visited Communist Party of China’s Foreign Affairs Office in Beijing and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Communist Party of China’s Minister for International Affairs Sung Tao warmly received the delegation. He thanked Arshad Dad for visiting Beijing on special invitation of the party, a press release issued by PTI Central Media Department said.
Tao said that Pakistan and China were tied in deep and trustworthy relations. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit was the start of a new chapter between the two friendly countries.
Dad said that PTI valued the bilateral relations of the two countries and acknowledged the progress and prosperity of China. He said that the ties of the Communist Party of China and the PTI would further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
During the visit, a special briefing was also given to the delegation. They were briefed on the administrative affairs and evolution of the Communist Party of China.
The PTI delegation, during its visit, is likely to hold important meetings with the leadership of the Communist Party of China and will discuss important matters of bilateral interest.
The delegation will also review the progress of China in the elimination of poverty and the eradication of corruption.
During the meetings with the Chinese leadership, the delegation will talk about the strategies to overcome social disparity and promote harmony in society.
