Saad Rafique gives ‘thumbs up’ to PM Imran’s Trump-slamming-tweet

In a rare occurrence, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique agreed with political rival Prime Minister Imran Khan.

On Monday, Saad Rafique gave a ‘thumbs up’ to a tweet by Imran Khan in which the premier was criticising US President Donald Trump for not recognising Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

In his tweet, the prime minister wrote that “Trump’s false assertions add insult to the injury. Pakistan has suffered in US War on Terrorism in terms of lives lost and destabilised and economic costs. He needs to be informed abt historical facts. Pak has suffered enough fighting US’s war. Now we will do what is best for our people & our interests.”

The PML-N leader, appreciating the statement, gave a ‘thumbs up’ to the tweet.

The Twitter users noticed the thumbs up by Rafique and praised him for supporting the government against Trump.

One user wrote: “سر خوشی ہوئی آپ کے ظرف پہ جب پاکستان کی بات اے تو پاکستان سب سے پہلے سیاست بعد میں گڈ سعد رفیق صاحب.”

Praising the former Railway minister, another wrote: “زبردست خواجہ صاحب۔۔
ملکی سلامتی کی جہاں بات ہو وہاں اختلافات کو سائیڈ پے رکھ کر یکجہتی کا مظاہرہ کرنا چاہیے.”

A PTI supporter thanked Rafique for the tweet and said: “Thank you Khawaja saab for standing by Pakistan…

Another wrote: “خواجہ صاحب  سب سے پہلے پاکستان.”

Repeating PTI’s famous slogan, one user wrote: “تبدیلی آ نہی رہی تبدیلی آ گئی ہے.”
