KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended 10 criminals, including an alleged extortionist, during raids in various parts of the megacity.
According to Rangers spokesman, a team conducted a raid in Korangi area and nabbed alleged extortionist, Nowshad Ahmed. The arrested accused was stated to be involved in several extortion cases.
During the crackdown on street criminals, the paramilitary soldiers conducted raids in Mubina Town, Sharifabad, Baloch Colony and Khokharapara areas and apprehended seven criminals, including two drug peddlers.
Citing their crimes, the spokesman further said that the arrested accused was involved in several robberies and drug peddling in different areas of the metropolis, the spokesman added. Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, drugs and contraband from their possession. They were handed over to police for further legal action.
