ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday submitted papers to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) seeking regularisation of his Bani Gala estate.

According to reports, the premier submitted maps, ownership papers and other relevant documents to the authority.

The CDA initiated the process of regularisation of Bani Gala’s Zone 4 after it received 132 requests for commercial and residential properties.

A fine of Rs100 per square feet for residential and Rs200 per square feet will be acquired from the property owners.

Commercial building and apartment owners will also be charged an additional commercialisation fee of Rs3,500 per square feet, while development charges will also be charged as well from Zone 4 residents of Bani Gala.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar last month said that Prime Minister Khan must pay regularisation fee for the Bani Gala residence after refusing to grant any more extensions in the illegal encroachment case.
