ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Affairs Ali Awan has said that the economy is being strengthened with improvement in trade volume with Pakistan’s neighbouring countries.
Talking to a private news channel on Sunday, he said that the newly elected government is primarily focusing on boosting the economy and uplifting the poor. He said that Naya Pakistan Housing Society (NPHS) and Lahore shelter programmes are an example of the government’s sincerity.
Replying to a question regarding the process of accountability, Ali Awan said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution and the government has nothing to do with its official matters.
